We are pleased to announce that Caring Home Cottage accepts private pay options, making it easier for families to choose the best care for their loved ones. Additionally, we are proud providers under a new Medi-Cal program that can cover the costs associated with your stay at our board and care home. This program is designed to assist eligible individuals in accessing quality care without financial strain.

Veterans Aid and Attendance and Housebound benefits programs

For veterans and surviving spouses, we proudly participate in the Veterans Aid and Attendance and Housebound benefits programs. These significant additional benefits may be available to those receiving VA Pension, providing further financial assistance for long-term care needs.

The Long-Term Care (LTC) Ombudsman is a program that advocates for residents of Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly (RCFEs) and other long-term care facilities. The LTC Ombudsman can help with a variety of issues, including: 

• Abuse or neglect
• Poor quality of care
• Dietary concerns
• Medical care issues
• Medicare and Medi-Cal benefit issues
• Residents' rights or dignity

The LTC Ombudsman can also: Educate residents and their families about their rights, Help resolve complaints, and Follow the expressed wishes of residents. To find the LTC Ombudsman in your area, you can:

• Look for the state-approved poster in a conspicuous location at any long-term care facility
